Position overview

As Head of Accounting, you will take full ownership of the accounting function and build a reliable, scalable foundation for financial operations. This role is responsible for leading the accounting team, establishing strong processes, and ensuring accurate, timely financial data that supports confident business decision-making.

You will play a key role in strengthening financial control, improving transparency, and creating audit-ready accounting practices. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on ownership and building structured, high-quality accounting operations that can grow with the business.

Your Day to Day

• Own and manage the full accounting function end to end

• Lead, support, and develop the accounting team

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting

• Maintain fully reconciled balance sheets and reliable P&L accuracy

• Establish and enforce clear accounting processes, controls, and approvals

• Oversee VAT, statutory compliance, and audit readiness

• Improve cash flow visibility, inventory accuracy, and accrual processes

• Identify risks early and ensure issues are resolved before escalation

• Build scalable accounting operations that support company growth

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience in accounting with full ownership responsibility

• Proven experience leading or managing accountants

• Deep understanding of accounting principles, reporting, and compliance

• Experience building or improving accounting processes and controls

• Ability to establish predictable month-end close and reliable financial data

• Audit experience or strong audit-readiness mindset

• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency

• Strong ownership mentality and confidence in decision-making

• Clear communicator able to work closely with finance, operations, and leadership

💰 Gross Salary: €4000–€6000 gross per month (depending on experience)
