Senior .NET Core Developer
Senior .NET Core Developer at Pulsetto: own, design, and optimize backend - scale microservices, secure APIs, and tune MySQL with autonomy and real impact.

You may have also seen us on Netflix’s “Don’t Die”, our founder’s Shark Tank pitch 🦈, or even heard that Cristiano Ronaldo and top NBA players use Pulsetto for recovery.
Despite the spotlight, we’re a humble team, moving fast, iterating even faster, and building the future of nervous system wellness. And now we’re expanding our team to power the next stage of global growth.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior .NET Core Developer to own, optimize, and scale our backend infrastructure. In this role, you will not be burdened with people management or administrative team-lead duties. Instead, your focus will be purely technical: driving architectural decisions, writing high-performance code, and solving complex engineering bottlenecks.
This position is ideal for a individual contributor who thrives on high autonomy, takes pride in end-to-end technical ownership, and loves building rock-solid, scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.
Your Day-To-Day
As our Senior Backend Engineer, you will focus entirely on technical excellence—owning, designing, and optimizing our backend systems without the burden of administrative people management. You will:
Architect & Scale: Design, develop, and optimize high-throughput, low-latency microservices and applications using .NET Core.
Build Robust APIs: Create, document, and maintain highly secure RESTful Web APIs capable of supporting scaling global user traffic.
Optimize Data Layers: Own the performance of our MySQL ecosystem—writing efficient queries, designing schemas, tuning execution plans, and managing data migrations.
Manage Environments: Containerize applications using Docker and manage local, staging, and production-like environments via Docker Compose.
Automate Deployments: Maintain, streamline, and improve automated delivery processes through CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
Handle Background Workloads: Implement, monitor, and optimize cron jobs, background workers, and scheduled tasks for asynchronous data processing.
Integrate Systems: Manage high-volume transactional communication, specifically handling push notification integrations via OneSignal.
What We're Looking For
5–7 years of professional experience in backend software development, with at least 4+ years specifically dedicated to intensive .NET Core development.
Deep production experience with microservices architecture and standard RESTful API design patterns.
Advanced knowledge of MySQL (or relational databases), including heavy query optimization, indexing strategies, and database scaling.
DevOps Familiarity: Practical experience with containerization (Docker, Docker Compose) and building automated CI/CD pipelines.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience matters more to us.
You don't need micro-management. You look at a complex backend problem, propose the right technical solution, and drive it to completion.
Agility & Growth: You adapt quickly to changing insights and love turning data into real engineering action.
Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex architectural decisions to the team.
Nice to Have
Deep expertise in performance profiling tools for .NET Core (e.g., dotTrace, BenchmarkDotNet).
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, or Elastic Beanstalk).
Hands-on experience with cloud-native relational databases like AWS Aurora or RDS for MySQL.
Experience managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via CloudFormation or Terraform.
Prior experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
What We Offer
Private health insurance after 6 months.
Hybrid model — 3 days in the Vilnius office or fully remote.
Work-from-anywhere flexibility: Ability to work from anywhere in the world for up to 40 days per year.
Opportunity to directly influence brand trust and organic growth at a global scale.
Collaboration with a world-class team across Europe and the US.
Office perks — free lunch 3x/week for the Vilnius team.
Additional vacation days based on tenure.
